形態特徵

• Rhizomes long-creeping, slender, sparsely clothed with narrow light-brown scales at apex.
• Fronds distant, about 2.5 cm apart; stipes 6-20 cm long, black and scaly at base; laminae variable, usually elliptic, to about 30 cm long; pinnae patent, gradually reduced, the lowest to small auricles, all sessile, truncate at base, acuminate at apex, segments cut 1/4 to costae; texture subcoriaceous; rachises with coarse hairs to 1 mm long in the grooves above, below with scattered finer hairs and a few narrow brown scales; costae with short stiff antrorse hairs above, the laminar surfaces sometimes bearing very short scattered appressed hairs; lowest pair of veins and the next vein on acroscopic side of costule spreading and anastomosing with adjacent groups, the next 3 pairs more oblique, meeting the sides of narrow translucent membrane which fills the lower part of sinus.
• Sori medial on the veins, often covering a large part of the lower surface; indusia small, glabrous, often not seen in old sori.

• 台灣 : Growing in somewhat shady places.
• 世界 : from Himalayas to the Philippines.
